At the screening camp organised by NGO Thaangum Vizhuthugal at Sikkarayapuram, Mangadu, and conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TAKER Foundation, Sunday, December 14, 2025, 76 participants benefited. While Dr. Saraswathi guided the TAPP team, TAPP Head, Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi disseminated the message of how to maintain kidney health to the participants.

Remarks: The screening camp was organised by NGO Thaangum Vizhuthugal.
Of the 28 individuals found to have elevated blood sugar levels, 17 were newly-detected cases.
In all, 24 participants were found to have high blood pressure, including 16 newly-identified cases.
While eight participants had glucose in urine, four participants showed the presence of protein in urine, indicating possible high blood sugar and kidney-related problems.
Based on the findings, 10 high-risk individuals were referred to the nearest primary health centre (PHC) for further evaluation and follow-up care.
TAPP Head, Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi, provided guidance to all the participants on kidney health, diabetes and hypertension, including their prevention and the importance of early detection.
