TANKER Foundation gives away awards to a medical doctor / researcher every year at a gala function in Chennai. Nominations for the 2026 awards are being invited: 

1. The Renny Abraham TANKER Foundation Love For Service Award 2026
TANKER Foundation invites nominations for its annual award for the most outstanding Medical Doctor in India who has gone beyond the call of duty in rendering service to the underprivileged.

The award will carry a cash prize of Rs. 1,00,000, a citation and a gold medallion.

The award winner’s accommodation and travel by train (second class A/C) will be reimbursed.

Criteria:

1. Age – No limit
2. Medical Doctor
3. Individual, resident in India.
4. The community service should have been carried out in India by the individual for a minimum of 5 years.
5. The service must be an outstanding contribution towards helping the needy by going beyond the call of duty.

The last date for nominations is December 15, 2025.

2. K.V. George Kottukulam Memorial TANKER Foundation Young Investigator Award 2026
TANKER Foundation and K.V. George Foundation invites applications for their annual award for the most outstanding young researcher in Nephrology in India. The award will carry a cash prize of Rs. 2,00,000, a citation and a gold medallion.

The award winner’s accommodation and travel by train (second class A/C) will be reimbursed.

Criteria:

1. Age under 45 years
2. Primary researcher must have been a major contributor to the research work.
3. The research must have been done in India.
4. Co-investigators’ consent should be given.
5. The research must not have been presented elsewhere.
6. The research must be an outstanding contribution towards understanding kidney diseases, of relevance to India.

The last date for submission is December 15, 2025.
