Thiruvottiyur TANKER Foundation dialysis unit patient, Mr. Sudhakar, helped organise an awareness programme at Shalini Tuition Centre, Thiruvottiyur, under the ‘Prevention Through Patient Programme’ of the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation, Sunday, September 7, 2025. Around 80 students and teachers actively participated in the programme.

Remarks: The programme was organised under the ‘Prevention Through Patient Programme’, with the support of Mr. Sudhakar, a patient from the Thiruvottiyur TANKER dialysis unit.
Speaker, Mrs. Deepa, emphasised the importance of maintaining kidney health through simple daily practices. She highlighted the need to drink adequate water regularly, avoid the habit of holding urine and adopt healthy lifestyle habits to prevent kidney-related issues.
The session commenced with an introductory address by TAPP team member, Mrs. Ramapriya, who spoke about the activities of TANKER Foundation.
The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Mr. Bala, founder of Shalini Tuition Centre, who appreciated the efforts of the TAPP team and expressed an interest in organising a screening camp in Thiruvottiyur.
The programme was highly interactive and created valuable awareness among the students and teachers on the importance of kidney care and early prevention of kidney diseases.
