Dr. Mohan Rajan, Chairman and Medical Director of Rajan Eye Care Hospital, came up with the idea of helping patients and employees of TANKER Foundation by distributing Privilege Cards for them for free eye consultations and treatment.

The event took place Friday, September 2, 2022, at Rajan Eye Care Hospital in T. Nagar, Chennai.

Indian table tennis legend, Mr. Sharath Kamal, who has become the Eye Bank Sight Ambassador of Rajan Eye Care Hospital, was the chief guest and handed over the privilege cards.

TANKER helps over 745 patients with free and subsidised dialysis through its 12 dialysis centres in Tamil Nadu and has over 150 employees.

Speaking on the occasion, TANKER Foundation Founder-Trustee, Dr. Georgi Abraham, thanked the hospital for their wonderful gesture. Dr Georgi Abraham also handed over his autobiographical book, ‘My Patients My God’, to Dr Mohan Rajan.

Listing out what TANKER Foundation’s activities, TANKER Foundation Managing-Trustee, Mrs. Latha A. Kumaraswami, said the organisation was grateful to Dr. Mohan Rajan for the generous gesture of distributing 1,000 Privilege Cards. She also thanked Dr. Sujatha Mohan, Director, Rajan Rotary Eye Bank.

TANKER Foundation Head Admin, Mrs. Vasanthi Ravichander, Advisory Member, Ms. Rohini Menon, Admin and unit staff and patients participated in the function.
