The roadshow conducted jointly by the team of the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) of TANKER Foundation and staff of the TANKER Retteri dialysis unit Friday, November 14, 2025, reached out to about 500 members of the general public, creating awareness on kidney health. The TAPP team was encouraged by Unit Manager, Mrs. Jagadheeshwari, to also approach the nearby schools to create awareness among the students and teachers.

Remarks: The TAPP team and the Retteri dialysis unit staff jointly conducted a vibrant kidney health awareness roadshow from the unit to the nearby traffic signal. The TAPP team members who participated were Mrs. Ramapriya, Mrs. Deepa and Mrs. Bhuvana.
During the walk, the teams actively engaged with the public, shared simple and powerful messages on kidney health and distributed informative leaflets to promote prevention and early detection.
The general public received the leaflets with great interest and eagerly enquired about the awareness activities and the upcoming screening camp.
Mrs. Jagadheeshwari also encouraged the TAPP team to approach nearby schools in Retteri for conducting awareness programmes, expressing her willingness to accompany the team to help secure permission.
The enthusiastic response from the community and the opportunity to extend outreach to schools reflect the growing interest in kidney health — motivating the team to continue spreading awareness with even greater commitment.
