Rotary Club of Chennai Towers donated EPO injections at the Retteri dialysis unit of TANKER Foundation.

The event was at Chennai Corporation Urban Health Centre, Lakshmipuram, Chennai – 99, Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at 11 am.

The injections were sponsored by Mr. Bharat Srinivasan.

Rotary Club of Chennai Towers’ Director – Community Service Health, Mr. Kiran Bajaj and Mr. Ravi Varanasi and his family were present at the event. Mr. Umapathy, District Dialysis Project Coordinator of the club, participated in the event.

TANKER Foundation’s Head Admin, Mrs. Vasanthi Ravichander, welcomed the guests and honoured them.

Speaking at the function, Mrs. Vasanthi Ravichander said it was very important for dialysis patients to have their EPO injections.

Though TANKER would love to help them, they were not in a position to do so considering the overall cost as they were providing other services.

So, Mrs. Vasanthi Ravichander said, they were approaching donors for EPO injections – even small amounts – to help the patients.

The patients were taking the issue of EPO injections lightly – especially during the pandemic – but that was not right, she pointed out. She thanked the club for their EPO injection donation.

She proceeded to give an update on TANKER Foundation’s services.

TANKER Foundation Deputy General Manager, Mrs. S. Geetha, and Retteri unit medical officer Dr Nandhini V were also present at the event.
