Of the 46 participants at the screening camp conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation Monday, January 26, 2026, at Sri Ganesh Furniture Office in West Mambalam, Chennai, 18 were found to be high-risk individuals and were referred for further evaluation. Dr. Gokul Kailash guided the TAPP team of Mrs. Ramapriya, Mr. Hemeshwaran, Mrs. Deepa and Mrs. Bhuvana.

Remarks: The screening camp was organised by All India Human Protection & Welfare, with referral support from Daasya Trust.
The screening results showed that 23 individuals had elevated blood sugar levels, of whom, 13 were newly-detected cases.
The blood pressure readings showed that 20 participants had high blood pressure, and 12 were newly-identified cases.
Also, two individuals showed the presence of protein in their urine and 12 participants, glucose in urine.
Based on these outcomes, 18 high-risk individuals were referred to the nearest primary health centre (PHC) for further medical evaluation and follow-up.
