A screening camp was conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation at the NKT National College of Education of Women, Triplicane, Chennai, Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Dr. Kabilan guided the TAPP team members, Mrs. Ramapriya, Mr. Hemeshwaran and Mrs. Deepa.

Number of participants: 60 students, teaching and non-teaching staff
Tests done: BMI, blood pressure, capillary blood glucose, urine

Volunteers: Mrs. Bhuvna, Ms. Yamini (intern from CTTE college for women)
Remarks: A total of 60 participants, including students, teaching and non-teaching staff of NKT National College of Education for Women took part in the screening camp.
Six participants were detected for diabetes and eight members of the public had high glucose in blood.
There were also three newly-detected hypertension members and three individuals with high blood pressure.
Totally, 10 participants were referred to the primary health centre for further evaluation.

Dr. Kabilan provided valuable dietary and lifestyle advice, emphasising the importance of healthy eating habits and early detection in preventing kidney-related diseases.
The event helped raise awareness about kidney health and encouraged proactive health monitoring among participants.
