Screening camp at Madurai Ilakku Institution

The TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation in Madurai held a screening camp Saturday, November 12, 2022.

The camp was held at Ilakku Institution – P & T Nagar, at the Iakku Training Hall in Madurai.

In all, 41 parents of the college students had their BMI, blood pressure and random blood sugar (RBS) checked.

Dr. M. Balamurugan was at hand to guide the TAPP team led by coordinator, Mr. Alagumalai. They were ably assisted by three nursing students of the TVS Community College and others belonging to Ilakku Institution.

It was found that the BMI of many of the parents was high as was their RBS. They were referred to Government Rajaji Hospital, Madurai, for treatment.
