Women and men, both young and old, thronged the new branch of Subhiksha Hospital in Vellaripatti village, in Madurai, May 1 2022, for the screening camp that was jointly organised by TANKER Foundation.
Dr Balamurugan, MBBS, visiting medical officer, had requested the Madurai unit of TANKER Foundation to jointly organise the camp during the inauguration ceremony of the new branch of the hospital at Vellaripatti village.
The idea was for TANKER Foundation to register, check height-weight (BMI), blood pressure, blood sugar, do urine analysis (two parameters – protein and sugar), screen, distribute leaflets and collect data.
In all, 54 people were screened at the camp with the help of students from TVS Nursing College.
TANKER Foundation Madurai unit Program Coordinator, Mr. Alagumalai, was at the camp, ensuring its success.
