Twenty of the 60 staff of the Department of Archaeology, Chennai, were found to be in high risk during the screening camp conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation, Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Dr. Gokul Kailash guided the TAPP team of Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi (Head TAPP), Mrs. Ramapriya and Mrs. Deepa.

Remarks: A total of 60 staff members from the Department of Archaeology underwent screening. The tests were conducted under the guidance of Dr. Gokul Kailash, with valuable dietary advice provided by Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi.
The results revealed 29 individuals had elevated blood sugar levels, including 16 newly-diagnosed cases. A total of 13 individuals were identified with high blood pressure, while 11 persons showed glucose presence in urine and four individuals showed protein presence in urine.
Based on these findings, 20 high-risk individuals were referred to a government hospital for further evaluation and follow-up.
