A screening camp was organised by Vision Rescue in collaboration with the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation at the Annai Terasa Old Age Home in Kilpauk, Chennai, August 2, 2025. A total of 61 people benefited from the screening camp.

Remarks: The screening camp was organised by Vision Rescue in collaboration with the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation.
A total of 61 participants from the general public actively took part in the screening.
A total of 28 individuals were found to have elevated blood sugar levels, including 14 newly-diagnosed cases and seven individuals were identified with high blood pressure.
Protein was detected in the urine of three individuals, and glucose was found in the urine of eight participants.
In all, 14 high-risk individuals were referred to the nearest primary health centre (PHC) for further medical evaluation.
The TAPP team provided comprehensive awareness on kidney health, including preventive care, dietary guidance, lifestyle modifications and the importance of early detection for managing kidney-related ailments.
