A screening camp was conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation at the old age home run by NGO Sevalaya at Tiruvallur district.

Remarks: The screening revealed that a significant number of elderly individuals had elevated blood sugar levels, indicating a prevalence of diabetes or a risk of developing it. Additionally, certain staff members of the NGO were found to have elevated blood pressure level.
Dr. Gokul Kailash provided valuable dietary advice to address these health concerns. He emphasised the importance of a balanced diet tailored to individual health conditions. By addressing these concerns, Sevalaya can ensure a better quality of life for its residents and staff, fostering a healthier environment within the organisation, he said.
