An awareness programme was conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation at a school / tuition centre in North Masi Street of Madurai.

The programme, conducted by Madurai TAPP coordinator, Mr. V. Alagumalai, was held Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at Maniyammai Primary School – Tuition Centre, Krishnan Koil North Masi Street, Madurai.

Dr. Mohana Kannan gave not only the introductory talk but also an awareness talk about kidney disease to the 40 students and four faculty members who participated.

The students asked many questions about the formation of kidney stones, polycystic kidney disorders, diabetes and hypertension.

Mr. Alagumalai was able to answer all their questions and also gave kidney health advice.
