Dr. Prakash Shankar guided the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation at the screening camp conducted at the Ambattur Ponnu Supermarket for its staff and members of the general public, Friday, September 19, 2025. The TAPP team consisted of Mrs. Ramapriya, Mr. Hemeshwaran, Mrs. Deepa and Mrs. Bhuvana.

Remarks: The screening camp held at Ambattur Ponnu Supermarket revealed that 20 individuals had elevated blood sugar levels (including newly-diagnosed cases), 41 were identified with high blood pressure, nine showed glucose in urine, and four individuals showed the presence of protein in urine.
Based on the findings, 17 high-risk individuals were referred to the nearest primary health centre (PHC) for further evaluation and follow-up.
Dr. Prakash Shankar, who guided the TAPP team to conduct the screening camp, also provided valuable dietary advice to the participants.
