A screening camp was organised in the Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board at K.P. Park in Pulianthope, Chennai, for the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation by the intern from a Chennai college, Ms. Sathvika. Dr. Mahadevan Balaji guided the TAPP team of Mrs. Deepa, Mrs. Bhuvana and Ms. Sathvika.

Remarks: The screening camp was organised by intern, Ms. Sathvika.
It was found that nine individuals had elevated blood sugar levels, including four newly-diagnosed cases, while 13 individuals were found to have high blood pressure and 4 participants had glucose in urine.
Based on the overall findings, 13 high-risk individuals were referred to the nearest primary health centre (PHC) for further evaluation and follow-up.
The TAPP team also offered dietary advice and encouraged participants to engage in regular physical activity.
