The TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation conducted an awareness programme at the Teynampet school in Chennai, Tuesday, October 17, 2023.

The awareness programme was conducted at the Corporation High School, Teynampet, Chennai, in which 72 students and one teacher participated.

The TAPP team was represented by Mrs. Deepa, who was ably assisted by Ms. Azhageswari A, an intern from Madras University.

The awareness talk was related to prevention of kidney disease.

There was also a lively question and answer session during which the students raised doubts about important causes leading to kidney diseases, the amount of water that needs to be consumed and dietary advise for kidney health. The TAPP team members cleared all the doubts and explained the issues in detail.

The awareness programme was presented for high school students to educate them regarding kidney health and about how to take care of themselves. Through the awareness programme, the intern student also learnt about how to create awareness among school students and their family.
