A screening camp was conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation at a church in Pulianthope, Chennai, Saturday, April 26, 2025. Dr. Mahadevan Balaji guided the TAPP team members while conducting the camp.

Remarks: A total of 52 members from the local community participated in the screening camp.
The screening camp identified 10 individuals with high random blood sugar levels, of whom six were newly-diagnosed with diabetes.
Additionally, 11 individuals were found to have elevated blood pressure, and nine high-risk cases were referred to the nearest primary health centre and private hospitals for further evaluation and management.
Dr. Mahadevan Balaji gave dietary advice to the general public, emphasising the importance of a balanced diet and lifestyle modifications to prevent chronic illnesses.
