There were two interesting things to write about the way the Perungudi unit staff of TANKER Foundation observed World Kidney Day, Thursday, March 12, 2026.

One was that they had a working model of kidneys at the unit at the Urban Community Health Centre (UCHC), where the unit is located, which drew a lot of attention from the people who visited the UCHC.

The other was taking the message of kidney health to the Sangford Schools and getting the students to participate in the awareness campaign.

Apart from holding placards with vital messages about ways to maintain kidney health, the staff also distributed pamphlets to vendors on the streets and members of the general public.
