Dr. Prasanna Kumar guided the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation, consisting of Mrs. Deepa and Mrs. Bhuvana, in conducting a screening camp organised by intern from D.G. Vaishnav College, Chennai, Mr. Aswath, at Nerkundram, Chennai, Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Totally, 48 women participants benefitted from the camp.

Remarks: The screening camp was successfully organised by Mr. Aswath, intern from D.G. Vaishnav College, Chennai, with support from the TAPP team. The participants were only women and showed interest in taking the tests.
At the screening camp, seven participants were found to have elevated blood sugar levels, and among them, five were newly-detected cases.
All the four participants identified with high blood pressure were newly-detected cases.
One participant showed the presence of glucose in urine.
Based on the screening findings, three high-risk individuals were referred to the nearest primary health centre (PHC) for further evaluation and follow-up.
