TANKER Foundation received a donation of three haemodialysis machines for two of its 15 dialysis units from Dishaa Foundation, the CSR wing of CMA CGM Global Business Services (India) Pvt. Ltd.:
- The Rekha Memorial Renny Abraham Ambattur Rotary TANKER Dialysis Unit – 1 machine
- The Sathyalok Shanti Lulla MWRT 10 RCCC & TANKER Dialysis Unit – 2 machines
The machine at Ambattur was inaugurated by Mr. Franck Lingua, Centre Head, CMA CGM Global Business Services (India) Pvt. Ltd., along with his team, Thursday, April 2, 2026.
Mr. Franck Lingua appreciated TANKER’s work and expressed his interest in continuing the partnership.
Dr. Georgi Abraham, Founder Trustee of TANKER Foundation, welcomed Mr. Lingua and the team from CMC CGM Global Business Services and stated that kidney failure was the third leading cause of death after cancer and heart disease.
Globally, one in 10 people suffers from kidney disease, and many cannot afford the high cost of treatment and ongoing care. Along with providing free and subsidised dialysis, TANKER is expanding its awareness and screening programme because kidney disease is increasing due to uncontrolled diabetes and hypertension.
Early detection screening is urgently needed, he said.
Mrs. Latha A. Kumaraswami, Co-Founder and Managing Trustee of TANKER Foundation, conveyed TANKER’s heartfelt gratitude to Dishaa Foundation and CMA CGM Global Business Services (India) Pvt. Ltd. for their generosity and continued support of TANKER and its patients.
She highlighted that the contribution will significantly support dialysis treatment for more underprivileged patients.
