TANKER Foundation fondly remembers Ms. Shanthi Rajmohan, whose life was a shining example of courage, resilience, and selfless service. Her remarkable journey continues to inspire patients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), Ms. Shanthi Rajmohan lived on Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) from 2003 until 2026, facing every challenge with extraordinary strength, optimism, and grace. Rather than allowing her illness to define her, she transformed her personal experience into a source of hope and encouragement for countless others.
Beyond her own journey, Ms. Shanthi became a passionate advocate for patient empowerment and caregiver well-being. Through numerous training sessions and awareness programmes, she shared practical guidance on self-care for dialysis patients and caregivers, helping families navigate the emotional and physical challenges of kidney disease with confidence and dignity.
TANKER Foundation had the privilege of collaborating with Ms. Shanthi Rajmohan on several initiatives promoting kidney health, patient education, and caregiver support. Her willingness to openly share her experiences touched countless lives and reinforced the importance of compassion, resilience, and community in healthcare.
Her warmth, humility, and unwavering spirit left an indelible mark on everyone she met. She was not only a dialysis warrior but also a mentor, educator, friend, and an enduring source of inspiration.
While we deeply mourn her passing, we celebrate the extraordinary legacy she leaves behind, a legacy of courage, kindness, service, and hope that will continue to inspire future generations of patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
TANKER Foundation extends its heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time.
