The Program Coordinator of TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) of TANKER Foundation gave a detailed speech on kidney health at the awareness programme conducted at Shri B.S. Mootha Girls Senior Secondary School, West Mambalam, Chennai, Friday, February 13, 2026. In all, 350 students and staff of the school benefited from the programme.

Remarks: In the awareness programme conducted at Shri B.S. Mootha Girls Senior Secondary School, Chennai, 350 students from classes 6 to 8 participated along with the teaching staff.
The speech was delivered by Mr. Hemeshwaran, Program Coordinator, who highlighted the vital role kidneys play in filtering waste and maintaining overall body balance.
He stressed the importance of preventive kidney care through healthy, dietary choices, limiting junk and packaged foods, reducing excess salt and sugar intake, staying well hydrated and exercising regularly.
