A total of 52 members of the general public were screened at the camp conducted by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation at Oddappai, in Tiruvallur district, Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Dr. Varusaw guided the TAPP team of Mrs. Ramapriya, Mrs. Deepa and Mrs. Bhuvana.

Remarks: The screening programme was referred by Mr. Aswath, and the camp was organised at the Rural Service Centre Building, Oddappai.
In all, 23 individuals were found to have elevated blood sugar levels and 11 participants had high blood pressure. Among them, 14 individuals were newly-identified with high blood sugar and five were newly identified with high blood pressure.
Additionally, eight individuals showed abnormalities in the urine test, while 18 participants were found to have BMI above the normal range.
Based on the screening outcomes, 12 high-risk individuals were referred to the nearest primary health centre (PHC) for further medical evaluation and follow-up.
