TANKER Foundation organised an online interactive session on 10 October 2026 to commemorate World Mental Health Day, in loving remembrance of Mrs. Shanthi Rajmohan. The session was conducted by Dr. Lakshmi Sankaran, Advisory Member of TANKER Foundation, Deputy Director – Training & Research and former Chair of the Department of Applied Psychology at The Banyan Academy of Leadership in Mental Health (BALM), for the benefit of the Foundation’s staff and patients.
Nearly 40 participants attended the session, which highlighted the importance of mental well-being and self-care, particularly for those who dedicate their time and energy to caring for others.
The session was informative, engaging, and meaningful, offering valuable insights into maintaining mental wellness while supporting others. A special highlight was the Mandala art activity, which encouraged participants to relax, express their creativity, and take some time for themselves.
TANKER Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Lakshmi Sankaran for conducting this thoughtful and beneficial session. Her time, effort, and valuable contribution made the programme a memorable and enriching experience for all participants.
Through initiatives such as these, TANKER Foundation continues to recognise the importance of emotional well-being alongside physical health and to foster a culture of compassion, care, and self-care among its staff and patients.
