A screening camp was conducted for 112 CMDA employees on World Kidney Day, Thursday, March 12, 2026, at their office in Koyambedu, Chennai, by the TANKER Awareness and Prevention Program (TAPP) team of TANKER Foundation.

The TAPP team consisted of TAPP Head, Mrs. Rajalakshmi Ravi, Head Admin, Mrs. Vasanthi Ravichander, Area Manager, Mr. Guganathan, Mrs. Ramapriya, Mrs. Deepa and Mrs. Bhuvana, and they were guided by Dr. Varusaw.
The results showed that 20 individuals had elevated blood sugar and 30 had high blood pressure. Among them, six were diagnosed with diabetes, and 20, with high blood pressure. Additionally, 20 participants showed abnormalities in the urine test.

Based on the screening outcomes, 27 high-risk individuals were referred to the nearest primary health centre (PHC) for further medical evaluation and follow-up care.
